KSPAN 2025 Fall Conference "Restoring the Healers: Empowering Nurses"

Good Afternoon.  I hope this message finds everyone doing well and able to have enjoyed a second weekend in a row of gorgeous weather.  To everyone who has already registered for the KSPAN Fall Conference - Thank You.  We are 3 weeks away from the conference.  It is October 11th at SETEC in Northern Kentucky from 8 to 4:30.  The conference is virtual as well as in-person.  Check-in will start at 7:30.  A detailed brochure can be found under the Events tab.

The KSPAN Board of Directors met on Thursday and have the following updates:

• We would like to showcase any work attendees have done concerning EBP, Research, QI or Advocacy.  Those attending can have their work displayed in a poster format or via a PowerPoint poster template.  Those attending virtually can submit using the attached template or one of their own choosing.  Those submitting with a template, the submissions will be printed in a booklet.  Copies will be available at the conference as well as online.  For those presenting in poster format, there are no specifications as to size or layout. This is to accommodate those who may have a poster already printed.  We do not want to add any additional costs.  
• An intent to submit a presentation must be emailed to the KSPAN President - Annie Steffen at umma1961@gmail.com or elizabeth.steffen@stelizabeth.com by October 1st.  The Intent to Submit must include the following: Name, Employer, Title, and Type of project (EBP, Research, QI or Advocacy).
• Presentation must include: Title, Author(s), Organization, Abstract, Methodology, Results, Conclusions, Recommendations.
• Those submitting virtually must have presentation submitted to the KSPAN President by Tuesday October 7th.
• We will again be collecting items for NACU - their needs list is attached to this announcement.
• We have three awards that will be presented at this meeting: Points Award for Member at Large, Points Award for Board Member, Humanitarian/Mission Scholarship.  Applications are attached to this announcement.  Applications must be submitted to the KSPAN President by midnight October 1st via email. If you have any issues submitting via email, please let Annie know via email.  Applications will be forwarded to our Awards committee.  You have to be a KSPAN member to be eligible, but you do not need to be in attendance.
• We will again have our Gift Card Tree.  This is our biggest fund raiser for KSPAN. Details including how to purchase tickets will be posted soon.
