This part-time nursing position offers an opportunity to provide dedicated, one-on-one care to a young elementary/prek student in a school setting located in Chicago, IL. The role requires specific expertise in tracheostomy care to ensure the students health and safety throughout the school day. Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 nursing care to a student with a tracheostomy
• Monitor and manage the students respiratory status and trach care during school hours
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and healthcare providers to support the students health plan
• Document care provided and communicate any concerns promptly
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for the student
  
  

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) with valid school nursing credentials
• Proven experience working with pediatric patients who have tracheostomies
• Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations and troubleshoot respiratory equipment
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educational teams

Schedule and Location:

• Part-time, 21 hours per week
• Workdays: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
