Position Description

Immediate need for a talented RN Joint & Spine Center/Musculoskeletal. This is a 03+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Cincinnati, OH (Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $47 - $50/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Joint and Spine Center/Musculoskeletal 4-5:
  • The orthopedic/neurosurgery unit is a fast-paced, 58-bed unit consisting of all private rooms located in The Joint and Spine Center (JSC) on floors 4-5.
  • It has state-of-the art technology including the Navicare Nurse Call system, in room computing, patient information and precaution monitors as well as texting communication.
  • The unit primarily provides specialized care for patients undergoing orthopedic/neurosurgical procedures including total joint replacements, fracture repairs, spinal surgeries, craniotomies and intracranial hemorrhage patients.
  • The unit may also receive medical/surgical overflow.
  • The RN effectively communicates with peers, utilizes appropriate channels of communication and maintains absolute confidentiality.
  • The RN maintains competence and demonstrates evidence of continuing professional growth.
  • The RN demonstrates the ability to accept and implement change and the ability to work in a culturally diverse setting.
  • The RN demonstrates the knowledge, abilities, and skills to provide age and culturally specific patient care and education.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • Key Skills; Ohio RN License or Compact.
  • BLS (American Heart Assoc.)
  • Diploma of Nursing.
  • The practice of nursing requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills to provide care to groups and individuals.
  • The RN utilizes knowledge derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • The experience of caring for the diverse patient population on this unit provides staff with a solid clinical foundation in medical surgical nursing.
  • 2 years acute m/s experience (within last 5 years) Preferred experience: Epic, MS neuro/ortho experienceDiploma of Nursing
  • Preferred Education:-BSN
  • Ohio RN License or Compact.
  • BLS (American Heart Assoc.)
